Ship Repair Trades

Performs shipboard structural repairs, fabrication, and installation of metal components.
Responsibilities
Uses welding and fitting techniques to maintain hulls, decks, and internal frameworks. Reads blueprints and ensures structural integrity during repair projects.
Requirements
Experience in welding or shipfitting. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work in confined spaces.
Description
Maintains and repairs shipboard mechanical systems and propulsion components.
Responsibilities
Performs advanced machining, fitting, and mechanical repairs on engines, pumps, gear systems, and hydraulic units. Diagnoses mechanical faults and fabricates parts as needed.
Requirements
Experience in marine mechanical systems, precision measuring tools, and rotating machinery. Technical certification preferred.
Description
Provides essential support services for marine repair operations.
Responsibilities
Builds and installs scaffolding, platforms, and wooden structures. Assists with rigging heavy loads safely during vessel repair and construction projects.
Requirements
Knowledge of shipyard rigging practices, fall protection, and OSHA standards. Ability to work in variable conditions and heights.
Description

Responsibilities
